I definitely cant blame Joel for doing what he did, after everything they had been through Ellie deserved to at least know what was going to become of her. Especially when a woman who had brought her up after her mother died had taken it upon herself to decided Ellie's fate.
One things for certain. the lies and conflicts of interest in the end will make up for some intense scenes in a sequel
