I mean, their entire CULTURE is set up that way. Money takes precedence over the consumer, it takes precedence over life itself. The only reason MS changed their policy with the XBO was that it was clear that they wouldn't make their money back on system development costs if things continued the way they were going.

I'd argue gamers in general are to blame...all of them. Pro and against the digital vision Microsoft wanted to persue.

This new method microsoft was implementing works really well for people that are trying to fit gaming into their lives when they can, instead of building their lives around it. We just weren't heard over all the hardcore gamer and media bashing and noise. So we are all to blame...
