I read the articles as you having the choice on system setup of going DRM free or having the existing policies they've announced since E3. DRM free gives you more flexibility but you'll lose the benefits of a cloud based profile. If this is correct its great as I would like the cloud based system as I don't buy/sell used games and the sharing features would be awesome amongst my friends 
. I would have been annoyed if they had removed the cloud profile option given all the benefits they sold to me.
