I agree with the points made in the OP.
This generation I actually bought all games at retail if possible, but I am a 99% no used games guy. I usually don't buy used games and I never ever sell my games. I always fear there will be this one situation in which I want to replay a certain game. Also even if I'd sell a game, I probably would be disappointed with the money I'd get for it. For example if I'd sell Virtual Chess 64 today, nobody would give me more than 1€ for it. The result is that I have tons of games filling up my space. And in ten to twenty years a significant part of my games will fall victim to disc rot. So next gen digital only is the way to go, I made up my mind about that. I was ok with everything said about Xbox One since nothing actually restricted me. The one thing that worried me was that I might lose access to the games in the far future but who knows if that would've actually happened. Family sharing sounded great from what I've heard and I hope they'll find a way to keep it in.
