Yeah I guess I was in the minority and I understand people that are not tech savy being scared of DRM, but you fully know technology and love "Always online " on your Chromebook and DRM on your Android phone for software. I really don't know what your deal is here...

And no, I havent traded or resold a console game in years nor do I want to share cause I want to get it for "free". A lot of my friends are on the outs with console gaming because they have kids and families, 2 jobs or other things to kee them busy... They were probably not even going to buy the Xbox One but I was using this to convince them to stick around and get the console.  "Sharing our library, family sharing guys"... Its sound something cool and new that could attract people who have been there and done that. If I want a game I buy it, that will never change.

Yes I love tech and I have stated many times that I'd be fine with a digital only game console.

However, out of principle if I buy a physical object I must be able to do with it as I please.

I can root and unlock my phone. I even went from great Verizon to Tmobile just for unlocked phones.
I can resell my phone/tablet/chromebook. (and still keep my content)

To me its a difference in choice of physical vs digital. If I buy a game I know my kids won't care about and I'll only play solo... then I want to be able to resell it to generate some cash back to buy a new game. Why keep a game just to collect dust? If there is one that I know will be repeated over and over like say Mario Kart, then by all means digital simplicity.

That true ownership by far outweighs the advantages of the digital sharing option. Plus if you want to digitally share, you can do that still. Just buy the digital copy of the game. You can do that now on X360/PS3 and they already hinted at it in the revised rules for Xbone. Just not disc based games.

Fair enough....don't wanna argue about this as we clearly have a different point of view and different sides to our story.

But for the record, you can't do it on Xbox without your Gamer ID on a second console.  If my friend wants to play on his console, he has to use my gamer ID.

On PS3 you can share 2 consoles at a time, again using your gamer ID to install and then play with his. Not very convenient if you ask me.
