Now that MS doesn't have DRM, will this give 3rd parties more incentives to do it themselves?

Read my post, the backlash for MS was from EVERYONE on the internet. If a 3rd party does this, the backlash will be much much smaller.

No, those games likely won't sell. There is always backlash on DRM on discs.

Sony has already been there with music and others have time and time again.

A game with crazy similar DRM will not sell well... at least not as well as others without.
