No. Xbox One still has problems which are

-$499 price point despite being less powerful than PS4
-Kinect is required to be plugged in

They eliminated the biggest issue which was DRM though so gamers win.

If you think about it though, what does this say about Microsoft? The weren't confident enough to go through with their plans. The fact that they went this far with it is very alarming. For the all the shit they were getting for the DRM, it did have some positives such as:
-10-people shared library
-Games installed on HDD so no need to swap discs

These positives are gone now and they were potentially big advantages over the PS4 for someone who doesn't mind DRM.
