I'm genuinely interested in peoples reasonings on this as the platform as a whole has never *really*  been supported by developers or even nVidia/AMD.


The same reason why some gamers buy Android or Windows phones, I guess: There's more to a computing platform than its games library.

Speaking for myself, I don't game much on PC anymore. I find Macs generally provide a better work environment and require less maintenance than Windows or Linux alternatives, and there's enough game software that I can find something to play if I should feel like getting my KB+M on.

I see GOG somehow got System Shock 2 running on Mac, a game I missed in its heyday, so I'm happy to pick that up. Don't Starve is looking tempting...
