no more like server based tech.... the difference between data center (servers) used for storage and platforms like azure is that you can actually use the server to do calculation where old school servers where more or less data farms that answer request for files more than computing anything really....
but the term cloud is pretty much used today for anything happening on a server instead of locally.... I agree it's a beat confusing.... skydrive is a cloud based storage technology.... azure is cloud based computing technology.... both happen in the cloud but server very different purpose....
