To adapt or to die.

Smart-phones and tablets keep growing and PC sales keep shrinking. And since most of those devices use graphic chips that come from other Co., neither them or AMD are benefiting from this as. And since their Tegra solution hasn't been as successful as they wanted, they have changed their plans. They are doing the smart thing to do.

Now it's only a matter of knowing how they'll be doing this (their past licensing deal with the PS3 didn't left a good taste in Sony's mouth) and how long will it be until AMD announces something similar.
