His power supply thing is the bare minimum for a gaming PC of THIS day and age, and considering how many things are left out (Operating System, Hard Drive, Memory, etc) you're almost certainly being ripped off for that price. Even if that PC is somehow good, you'll need at least a Windows 7 for about $60, at LEAST 8 GB of RAM for $60, and a hard drive for another $70. That brings you up to a total of nearly $700 for a PC of questionable quality that does not come with a Screen, Mouse or, Keyboard. I have friends that do PC gaming, and they all pretty much agree on one point. You CAN get a PC that plays any game you want, if at a low quality, for as little as $400. HOWEVER, you have to either put it together yourself, have a friend do it for you, or be prepared to spend twice as much. One last thing to note: what games are you going to play? To this day, playing Crysis with maxed out settings can set you back over $1500. However, you can play most games on High settings for $1000, provided you shop and assemble intelligently. Do you already have a PC? Maybe you can use parts of that. |
it's a custom PC. Scroll down and you select the parts from a dropdown list. Sorry maybe should've explained that better in the OP
