It wasn't because they kept saying FFVXIII was PS3 exclusive? Changing the name to FFXV and saying it's on both next gen consoles wouldn't sound so bad and save face. I feel bad for anyone who bought a PS3 just for this game and now needs a new console. Go play The Last of Us, well worth a PS3 purchase just to play.
He didn't lie though, VXIII isn't coming to other consoles.. :P
