That's not it at all. If the SP is a say... 9.5 and you feel the MP is "good", how the fuck does that bring the score down to 9.2?

You'd rate the title higher if the function was gone alltogether? That's ridicilous!

Hell these are your own words =>

"Yeah.  I'd have it up at a 9.5 if it wasnt for the multiplayer.  And I know what you mean, i couldn't put it down either haha  And It is a pretty lengthy game as well O.o"

So the game is worth a lesser score despite the SP clearly being a 9.5 to you but somehow with MP its lower. I'm sorry bro but I find that plain odd.

I do however think what you've written is well so kudos on that. But no way I'd agree regarding that. And that goes for any title. Your MP score is enough to show what the MP part is, but to actually WEIGH DOWN on the overall product for it when it's somehow better without it is just.. no.

Because it is a part of the game and i review the whole package, not just one category.  You are paying way too much attecntion to the overall score rather than looking at them individual.  You know im right when i say that some people are multiplayer gamers and others are single player gamers so why should i exclude a category just because it will hurt the overall score.  All this review says is that the single-player is amazing but the multiplayer is decent.  Read the review and you can see that or just look at each category individually.

Yeah I understand that, I did however edit in what you yourself said which is once again =>

"Yeah.  I'd have it up at a 9.5 if it wasnt for the multiplayer.  And I know what you mean, i couldn't put it down either haha  And It is a pretty lengthy game as well O.o"

In your mind, having no MP would bring up the games overall quality. So in theory, if you were to ignore the MP alltogether, you'd rate it a 9.5. Now you do have your own section of the MP which is enough to show the consumer what your thoughts are there. The fact that you still claim its a good MP, and yet the score is lowered is simply weird.

By reviewing the "whole package" you are retracting points off of what would be a 9.5 for the reason that a "good MP" is in. I'd consider the MP a bonus and like you said: Review the whole package. The SP being 9.5 and the MP being 7.5 still doesnt lower the overall score because that SP still holds it own.

In short according to your way of doing it=>

The games that have no MP should either drastically lose points otherwise you're rewarding less effort which is the case here. If ND had no MP, it'd be 9.5. I simply don't share that. If a developer makes a good MP, I'd reward it, not punish them for it.

This is my point of view and I am not trying to make you change it.
