I refuse to pay for digital while it costs the same or more than a physical copy. The big 3 would have to have regular steam sales to make me buy digital. I just prefer physical, i like actually owning what i buy.
I like Physical because you don't have to wait a few hours while the game downloads and installs, you can trade it in, if you like. You are not restricted to what you do with it really (except piracy obviously). I also forget about what i digitally own, while occasionally i'll remind myself of what games i physically have since they are on my shelf. Also, the case is something to look at. There are probably other reasons why i prefer physical but i can't think of any right now
