Not exactly. Did you see the port on the back of Xbone that was IR Blaster? There will be a small device you can plug into Xbone and put it in front of your cable/sat box. Xbone will essentially work like a universal remote in that case.

i'll be honest.  i read the words IR Blaster and roughtly speaking this is what went through my head...
