i mean this in the must non-disrespectful way i can possibly say this,.. how dumb was that?!? i mean, i know that is still pretty disrespectful but i don't know how to sugar coat it any more. why the heck would you call that in?
also, i know xbone works only with select cable services at launch. with Xfinity having a very similar service is there any chance comcast just blocks the xbone? i mean, is it limited because MS has to work out a deal with every cable provider or just limited because it takes MS time to incorporate whatever middleware is needed for every cable provider? do we have a list of day-1 supported cable services?
edit: i also meant to put this in my first post. lololol at X1 having such a similar name to xbox one. |
It's access to the programming list. Microsoft has to subscribe to the service that provides those listings for each and every cable/satellite provider.
The rest is HDMI pass through. HDMI supports the remote operation of a device via a single connection, which is how the Xbox One will be able to control the cable/satellite box. It's making sure that every possible box works across all cable, telco, and satellite providers. The OneGuide is an app that insets the video from the input into a window, while you access it, then switches to full screen once the selection has been made.
For any non-HDMI devices, there is the IR Blaster.
