First part about the console bricking used to be true, but nowadays you can deactivate all your consoles from their website. I've had to do it a few times myself. Then you can activate whatever consoles you want. There's some time restriction on it like you can only do it once a month or so, but if you have consoles bricking that often you probably need to stop playing them in the bathtub or whatever you're doing. You can download the game on as many consoles as you want, they just can't be used on those consoles, which is the same as XBone, but with different numbers of how many people can use it. |
I didn't know about the website thing...I figured you had to call sony support. Fair enough... Still why am I deactivating things on a timed basis and keeping track who has my game, when I have a great internet connection and can verify in that manner.
As far as unlimited downloads, I see your point as well. So I can install a game on 3 consoles I may own, sisters console and a few friends...and then using the website I can switch the rights to the console I may want to use to play my game... If I'm visiting my sister, I can flip the switch there. If I'm at friends house, I can deactivate the sister and select my friends console. Still kind of crumbesome and it falls appart if its time restricted.
