I believe both next gen consoles have the ability to play after an initial gig or two gigs get downloaded and installed. I know Xbox One does... Also, since the games are downloaded and installed they can be compressed quite a bit. I cant see you downloading 50 gb worth of data for a game for quite some time. Next gen all these game downloads and updates are expected to be performed in the background without much user knowledge or wait time. Thats a very good internet connection that you have btw. Especially your upload...I cant see you having any difficulties with internet speed and always on. I am pretty certain you were getting 2.2 MB/s with that connection...not Mbps. I have a 16Mbps theoretical connection according to my internet provider and ive my seen my torrents do 1.8-2MB/s... |
It's not the always online that I hate the most with the X1, it's the used game they are blocking, because I got most of my favorite games this gen used. When I was done with metal gear solid 4 I trade it to a guy for war hawk and heavenly sword I end up playing 500h+ on warhawk I also got the orange box used an other 600h+, if it wasn't for the used game market I would probably only buy games that I am sure to enjoy and take less risk in spend 60$ on a genre I never played before. And renting is pretty much dead with the X1

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
