I was a Nintendo/PC gamer up until 2011 and even then the only reason I bought the PS3 over the 360 was because I liked the exclusives better. But I still liked the 360 and I was seriously considering the One because most of my friends had the 360 this gen and were just going to upgrade to the One.
Honestly it's not even really MS policies that are going to keep me away from the one. I don't like the policies, and I think that they are bad for the industry. But the One just has things I'd never use. I have no need for the TV feature, and I'm not a big fan of motion controls. So it makes no sense for me to spend $100 more for a less powerful system with things on it I have no use for.
