If you can't afford new games, find another hobby. In 10 years everything will be digital and the used game problem will be gone.

Yeh, I will throw out all my older games that I love and regularly replay, because a random person on the internet recommended me doing so.

Thats a nice spin you put on that. I didn't recommend anything and I don't care what you do with your older games. What im saying is; I think its insane that people go out a week after a game comes out and pay $50 for a used game they can just get brand new for $10 more. Then those same people bitch about not getting sequels to their 'favorite' games because they decided to give the money to gamestop  or whoever and not to the people who made it. You vote with your wallet. Ok look at it this way, would you buy a $400 cell phone or , even if you couldn't afford the monthly bill? No? Why would you buy a $400 video game system if you cant afford a $60 game once a month.
