I think Micrsoft has a chance to take Sony and Nintendo out this coming gen.

Actually, they'll both be fast out of the gate. The supply for the first two/three months will easily sell out. From what I'm hearing though Sony will have more supply. After that I think PS4 will continue to outsell the X1 for some time, but you are overestimating the severity. 

Also, the PS3 had spent this whole gen catching up, and now it's in the lead. Never say never.

I would never say never, but to think MS can take out Sony and Nintendo in a Gen where there starting with no favourible press, the highest price point and not even the best hardware, crazy.
