Why is buying used games such a big deal nowadays?

No one is taking away your right to buy used games. What's being changed is the console's ability to play those used games, which is not a right.

Our right to do whatever we wish with the game we bought is being taken away. That is a right.

Can you imagine if you couldn't lend a music CD to a friend or if you needed your stereo system to connect to the internet to verify you bought that CD? It's ridiculous.
