Sony fans have always been about quantity AND quality. Nintendo fans are the ones always spewing about quality over quantity since the n64 days. Ps1 had far more games and far more good games than the n64. PS2 followed the trend by blowing both rival systems out with both quantity and quality as well. The more quantity you have the more quality will get mixed in there. It;s been true for every generation and Sony has been the embodiment of that.

I look at it differently.
Every platform has had it's "Golden games". The Nintendo 64 included.
I would happily trade 1000x PS2 games for something like StarCraft, Perfect Dark or Halo or even Uncharted because you can sink so many darn hours into it and have a blast.
Not every game is suited to everyone, the PS2 did have the edge in that regard for pure choice, but in the end I've found and enjoyed some amazing games that have been exclusive on every single platform.

Generally though, if I had to pick *any* platform for it's pure quantity AND quality, has to be the PC, especially with Emulation taken into account which makes it a "No contest" scenario.
