I guess they didn't have the time nor the team size to release on both. He already says in the interview that some features might not be ready for release. Best to go for the biggest install base, plus ps3 has yet to hit $199. Together with their monthly DLC strategy and free online on ps3, that is where the most GT6 sales will be for now.
It will all come to ps4 in due time, but I guess it will be called GT7 to avoid people expecting cross platform online play.
