I wouldnt ask someone in the MS or Sony helpline about corporate strategy for the next gen.  They will likely not know or will get it wrong or will guess. what you are saying is you are putting that call cente persons answer on a par with a very senior member of he Xbox team at ms.

Obviously I'm gonna believe the official support team. Now that things have gotten clarified from a higher up I'm gonna believe him instead. But it was not a rumor it was a statement from an official support team.
