It's not a difficult job at all, I agree, but still treat their employees like slaves.   I worked  at one while managing at another job a little more than 10 years ago.  Since day one they knew my schedule at the other location but needed help in a different area so changed my shift regardless.  I complained about it and they said it would only be a week or I could quit.  In order to take time off my other job while still getting paid, I have to cover it with sick pay, even though the person above me knew what was going on.  After that week I was scheduled again same time periods.  I talked to the same manager who said  they couldn't change it back then spoke to HR.  Came to work next day and I was laid off.

They didn't fire me and you can  guess why.  Talked a lawyer a friend knew and there's nothing that could be done about it.  Florida is a right to work state and they laid me off because they just didn't need me any longer so nothing would have happened if I went to court.

Ever since then I've never been a fan of Target.  Most companies like that screw their companies for corporate gain.  I've heard some stories about Walmart, and this was the first time it's happened to me.  Not as bad as some of the stories I've heard, but still bullshit.

How old where you at the time? I was only a teen working in a chain down here called "Big W". I've heard of even them pushing older people out so a younger and cheaper employee can fill the spot. What happened to you is a joke... I can't believe you couldn't do anything about it!
