I'm just recommending a bit of healthy scepticism on all y'all's part so that you will avoid both over-hyping this thing and being disappointed when the full reality of the situation is revealed.

I see no over hyping, all I see is Sony fans downplaying the feature and making up limitations and decrying it as impossible simply because it's a great feature for gamers.  People are reacting to Sony fans saying this isn't possible, if you all stop saying it's not possible then the discussion can move on.  It's not the Microsoft fans that need to be more reasonable, this is after all their area of the forum to discuss their console.

Oh Gods, lets not start suggesting forum segregation. This is not an area only for MS fans to talk about MS stuff. This is the area of the forum for ANYONE to talk about MS stuff, good, bad or indifferent, praise or criticism, right or wrong.

I guess we'll see whether "a great feature for gamers" is over hyping or not once the Xbone releases and Xbone owners start to use this feature. Count me as one who is very sceptical about how this thing will play out, simply for the reason that, as badgenome has already pointed out, 3rd parties forced Sony to cut the 5 activated platforms down to 2 for PSN games. If the sharing thing is exactly as you guys think then expect 10 to be cut back substantially.

And there you go again, its rather sad to fly in the face of all the evidence and statements that have been OFFICIALLY given. .

I haven't contradicted any of the statements or facts. But the real world evidence for when a console manufacturer allowed up to 5 consoles to download a game from a single purchase is that the 3rd party publishers forced that console manufacturer to cut it back to 2.

The evidence from human psychology is that people like free stuff. If you get to play a game from start to finish without having to pay for it then you're going to be dead keen to play for free again with more games. What people aren't going to do is think, wow I played a game for free, next time I should buy a game.

Combine these two pieces of evidence and what do you get? Publishers realising that 10 family member sharing is too many.
