Walking the plank?

Well, a couple notes. You won't stop piracy. What takes a company 6 months and several million dollars to implement is broken by a budget of 300 bucks for pizza and red bull in under a month. Yep, that was worth it. Or you can go the Sony route and damage your paying customers with your anti piracy methods. Fucking beautiful that was.

Acknowledge that it exists, offer a cheap alternative for distribution. My piracy has gone infinitely down (University? Yeah, everything is free.) as I grew older and got more income. Whether that was maturity or money remains to be seen. Hehe, duty.

Also, for music? Now there's youtube. Why pirate when someone else uploads their stuff for you? You can check away, don't have the file, got a free demo of someone else pirating. Is this as morally bankrupt as downloading the mp3s?

Yeah.  That's the thing.  Is it even illegal to watch some movie that's been uploaded on the interent?  It's illegal to upload it... but to watch it?  I doubt it.

Though knowing lobbyists it will be in a few years.
