I share your frustration about shooting games, but really, it's hard to take what you're saying seriously when you suggest that playstation (and ms I'm sure) games lack variety. There are all sorts of games for every gamer on ps3. Making a list of artstyles and genres would actually take me hours, so I won't bother.
Even for xbone and ps4, they showed tons of different genres WITHOUT any guns. Why are you choosing to ignore Knack, Mark and similar games?
