Simple. Nintendo release their big titles (Mario 3D, Mario Kart, Zelda and Super Smash Bros.) + a possible price cut = Sales getting better.

Expensive consoles like Xbone and PS4 will get decent launches due to hardcore MS and Sony fans getting the console on day 1. Then, the sales will go down the same way PS3 and X360 did in their first years. The PS3 was selling near 50k/week and the X360 was selling near 75k/week at that time. Looking how the market is now in comparison with 2005-2006, I won't be too surprised to see Xbox one and PS4 selling in the 25k-50k/week range in their first year on the market.
