If you are talking about the blue light. Blue is always the color pallete of PS2 presentation. PS2 logo on fats are blue.
MS palette is green. I think Sony just want to make the blue Color as their own official color so it's like Green Vs Blue.
If you think green then MS, if you think blue Sony and if you haven't notice it lately. Sony is always going for the blue recently. Their E3 confrence is full of blue, their PS reveal is full of blue and If you see thier Vita games Box art it's blue.
