What a ridiculously stupid article.
Development of both consoles started years ago. Key elemensts were chosen years ago. Nobody could foresee exchange rates then. The Kinect2 hardware is AT LEAST in the $120-$150 manufacturing costs range. Look around for tof camera chip prices (you won't find anything below $250 for a 320*160 pixels camera, if you are lucky. XBox One has a 500*400 pixel camera). If you subtract the Kinect costs, XBox One is actually cheaper priced than the PS4.
