Interesting read. Is the Yen issue the only reason Sony undercut Microsoft? I mean they obviously didn't know Microsofts price so it seems like they just got lucky to me. Instead of Sony undercutting Microsoft, it seems to be a case of Microsoft overpricing their system. This means they can have better profits in the short term(at the cost of marketshare) and more room for early price cuts.
