Stupid trivia: If you look at a green, red, and then blue LED, you will noticed the green appears clear, the blue fuzzy, and red somewhere in between. The human retina absorbs blue light the poorest, resulting in this fuzzy appearance.

On a side note, if you google "blue LED retinal damage" you'll find a bunch of interesting scare articles. (But I would take them with a grain/pillar of salt.)
