It means in future revisions its also easy to manufacture newer power boards as you're not having to take into account what effect it will have on the rest of a consoles internals. It can also mean you need less shielding in your device to stop the PSU interfering. There are lots of reasons to put a external PSU. The real question is what's the point engineering a internal PSU given the potential negatives? |
I never have trouble with internal PSU and I never heard cases too... most issues was always with disc-reader.
