Selfish is what Sony is being. What if I want to play online a few times a year with my brother, who also doesn't play online much. What if when I want to play is particularly at times when I don't have a few bucks to play or he doesn't. I have to shell out $5 to do it? If they need money for Gaikai, then make Gaikai plus only. They already said the console isn't being sold at a huge loss. They already have an army of former xbox fans itching at the chance to pay for psplus. XBoxOne2, or whatever idiotic name they choose for it will probably charge for local multiplay as well, and the ps5 will follow suit. It's a ridiculous notion paying for online, and completely backward. Every Sony fan saying it's ok and not a big deal while it was a big deal on Xbox is intellectually dishonest, especially if the argument is "well this is not that evil because Netflix is still free", when they know damn well if Sony had said at e3 that the streaming services were also behind a paywall, they would still find a way to pretend it's different with Playstation for some reason, and if getting free games is what makes things ok, then by that logic, the new XBox Live is a better game, since they're giving away 2 games a month.  This is just a case of blind brand loyalty.
