Well he has a point.
If people buy the console a lot in the long run, the anti-used and Kinect built in focus might look bad to alot of the hardcore customers. However, if somehow the XBox One ends up being the best selling system (or close to it) Microsoft will be celebrating in their pool filled with money.
The "internet" wasn't exactly happy with the original Wii release, and the "internet" praised the Vita graphics and play ability, and we both know how those both ended up doing.
It's just that simple.
