People can still own PS4 and Xbox One without paying a subscription. Did single player games suddenly disappear from the industry? I'm sure I'm not the only one who was disappointed by the multiplayer focused games that were shown.
Most multiplayer games will be played on one system or the other, just like this gen.
The multiplayer behind a paywall isn't what will stop people from owning both the PS4 and Xbox One. What will stop people from owning both is the fact that they don't actually own their games with the Xbox One. If the Xbox One gets hacked and doesn't require the 24 hour check in, I'll get one when it's cheap and get the single player exclusives I'm interested in, otherwise I'm never getting the system.
