ok.. so the ps3 price in 2006 stays static at$599 (the more expensive model of course) but you can adjust the price of the One back to 2006 prices?  Why not tell people in 2013 a 599$ PS3 would cost $519 dollars?

Whoever you are pretending to be kowenicki I ask that you stop, especially since you are so obviously a Sony fan trying to make kowenicki look bad. Such spurious and irrelevant points simply make MS fans look desperate to counteract the awesome that Sony just did. Comparing Xbone price today against PS3 from back when has no bearing on the fact that XBone is $100 more expensive than PS4.

Good arguments for Xbone pricing are about value for money compared to PS4: Kinect comes packed in, which is awesome tech and worth every bit of the extra $100 you pay. You get a year of XBLGold which means a year of all the great value that Gold has to offer. Now that PS4 caomes with paid for online play most gamers are going to decide they need plus so have to add to add $60 (though they're not forced into having a PSN accountof any description) to their $399 pricetag. This makes Xbone effectively only $40 more expensive than PS4 (for those who decide to get PNS+) and $40 for Kinect 2.0 is amazing.

Granted the Xbone is less powerful than the PS4, but that difference in power won't amount to a significant difference in the quality of the games that the two consoles share. And Xbone exclusives are still going to look amazing, compared to last gen.

Xbone is also oversized, and not as sexy as the PS4, but those things have nothing to do with price, I just wanted to point that out, because it's pretty cool that Sony have produced a more powerful product in a smaller package. I just hope they ran a few test units non-stop for 1000 hours to make sure there's no overheating issues with that weeny package. I have a weeny package and it sometimes overheats... you probably didn't need to know that.
