Mutha fuck snoop, mutha fuck dre, mutha fuck death row .... ahahahahaaaaaaaaaa
ooops sorry. Left my eazy-e on in background.
Today was some gansta as shit handed out by Sony. They attacked without any fear or remorse in a manner I don't think I've ever seen properly pulled off before. No stupid snicker comments that don't even make sense, but clear pointed attacks that even included a real commercial on how easy it is to handle used games on the PS4.
So let's recap some of todays events.
MS came out first and as they promised focused nearly 100% on games. Glorious games. Started off with a few gems for X360 (3 games) and then moved into next-gen with title after title for Xbox One. I think I saw 13 exclusives of some nature and a healthy dose of multiplats as well. There was only a very small tidbit on the XBone OS, a new X360 model and absolutely no mention of the "other" policies. All in all, not a bad E3 presentation. Well rounded with quality for just about any type of gamer.
Towards the end of the show they even break the last bits of very important information. Launches November this year for a price of $499. Yes, this long-term rental TV box that spies on your every move and will likely some day pregnate your daughter is launching at four hundred and ninety nine dollars. Moving on...
Sony came out last in the day after shows from EA (if they weren't making Battlefront I swear to god I could blow them up...), Ubisoft and many others. They were clearly not as high of a percentage of pure gaming topics, but that's not to say they didn't show plenty of great games and many exclusives. There was a serious lack of videos for EA and Activision though they were mentioned by name. There was a new partnership with Bungie and an actual demo of AC4 that froze up. lol feel bad for that person demoing it. Then shared a tidbit that unlike X360s small handfull of upcoming games, PS3 is getting 100 new games this year alone. Very nice for those clinging to this dying generation.
They also had a larger portion of non-gaming aspects like refreshing our view on share feature, social gaming and the final word on PS+. Thank fully they mostly left this definite value plan alone aside from the one nearly overlooked detail that all online multiplayer will now require PS+. While that is a definite downer from last gen at least the non-gaming services are still under the free PSN banner and with PS+ you still a ton of other features that MS is only barely starting to match, like free games.
However, one thing Sony did well is emphasize the fact that you actually own the shit you buy. YOU own your physical games. YOU can trade, give, sell or fuck them in any manner you wish without asking mother for permission. Thank you Sony for hearing the cries of gamers everywhere and NOT including some rape your wallet DRM bullshit.
Then to top off the massive sweetest tasting cake ever served, they pulled out a chocolate covered cherry the size of octa-mom's pussy. $399. Here, lets let that sink in for a minute.... ok I'm done. THREE NINETY NINE BITCHES!
$100 cheaper.
More powerful.
Same 3rd party games.
Relatively equal trade-off on 1st party or at least its purely subjective.
No forced camera peering on your sex life.
Full ownership of the games you buy.
No online requirements of any kind.
What the fuck else do I possibly need????
If your considering a XBox One over a PS4, then you seriously need to see a doctor. Its a no brainer and by no brainer, I mean fucking Pachter couldn't possibly pick this wrong.
SuperChunk's final word: BUY A Wii U.
