Oh I'm just going by whats in the OP:

"Microsoft announced that Xbox Live Gold, the paid subscription that is required in order to play Xbox 360 games online, will now include free game downloads leading up to the launch of the Xbox One in November"

I thought that line implied it was only for 360.  I could very well be mistaken, so much new information going around lol.
