How do you disable a person that you don't know who he is quickly? The only real way to combat him is by tainting his track record and thus his credibility. Removing negligible games like ME2 and PoP from the conference doesn't do any harm to the overall performance of Microsoft, but it puts a dent in CBoaT's track record. That gives viral marketers a talking point, they can discourage people from taking CBoaT's word, because he is known to have been wrong before.

Knowing MS this wouldn't surprise me at all.
