It wasn't a matter of the Xbox One freezing. It was a matter of their being no audio.
Whoever the audio operator was, wasn't switching over the audio. They did this earlier on with Crimson Dragon too. The mic stayed open for Phil Spenser while he was backstage, but left the demo itself without any audio. So what you heard was the press going "Pew Pew Pew". It was chuckle worthy.
