Piracy does NOT cost the industry any money because most of the people that pirate would not have bought most of the products they pirated anyway. The entertainment companies just say this to try and deter people from doing it. I don't pirate games much because they are worth the money, are not grossly overpriced, and many more copies need to be sold for the company to turn a profit. However, the music and movie industries overcharge for everything and actors and musicians are overpaid bastards and don't deserve half of what they get. I have not bought a CD in at least 7-8 years and I only buy DVDS that are under 10 bucks.
