It's about the myth as to why DRM is needed going into next gen consoles. Not here to argue whether the PS4 will or won't have DRM like the Xbox One.

There is this myth that Gamestop or Used Games in general are the cause of the DRM. That Publishers aren't making enough money and their backs against the wall. That used games and Gamestop are taking all there $$$

I'm calling bullshit. I am putting the blame on the Publishers or whoever sets the price for games on PSN and XBL Store.

The solution to preventing the resell of games should be selling Digital. Buying a game from PSN or XBL has no resell value. Yet the Prices are the same at launch (if they are even have day 1 digital) and cost more weeks and months after launch.

On PSN right now NHL 12 is $59.99. NHL 13 is also $59.99. WFT!!!

Gamestop sells NHL 12 for $29.99 BRAND NEW and $19.99 USED

Gamestop sells NHL 13 for $39.99 BRAND NEW and $37.99 USED

The Publisher push people to buy used. They argue that of course people buy used because it cost less. I'm arguing that people don't buy Digital because they charge too much!!! Why buy digital when I can go and buy a physical copy NEW for $10+ less?
