I'm all out for Xbox brand( former PS2 owner). But If I spend $400-500 on something you sure as hell I won't let anybody tell me what to do with it. It doesn't make sense in anybody's mind outside the software circle. If Xbox tank on its first year I hope they revise it so I can game it in my home country( islands) without the connection hassle.
