No there will be a contraction on the market as pubs take less risks and all we're left with are the yearly iterations of crap. Being able to resell or buy cheap used allows you to risk that money a buy a game you know nothing about.

Not to mention if people are buying less games new, which they will and waiting for price drops, then the publishers are jsut going to be back to the damn drawing board, becasue they will be making less money on each game sold. Wonder who they will blame then?
