Why would I let something that has no negative impact on the way I play games bother me? I should refrain from buying an Xbone because little Timmy in rural Kentucky doesn't have stable internet and can't figure out how to go into his phone settings and tether it to his Xbone? I should turn away from some of my favourite game franchises like Halo and Forza because of DRM? I still buy movies and music and I don't fully own those either. As long as I can play and enjoy them that's what's important to me.

The issue is that you said you throw away games after you're done using them. If you invest in PS+ you can enjoy a slew of games without having to be bothered with filling up your trashbags, with videogames, and sending them to the dump. This is an excellent alternative, not only for you, but for the environment.
