Ok so here's something to think about.
Firstly, I'm stationed in overseas right now. Live's functionality is severely limited over here, to the point that we can't purchase anything, and pretty much have to beg for a solid connection. With these new features I can garuntee you we will not be able to play are games 95 percent of the time. For military people who often get deployed or overseas.....this sucks royally. We will not be able to play.
Secondly an issue that i feel is big which people are not taking into account. I personally LOVE buying old games that i missed out from a generation or two ago and plopping them in. What in the hell happens when i buy a game that is rare and not at game stop? especially when the xbone stops providing service. I'm royally fucked. I still buy old ps2 games and play them. Now because a game that is no longer in print or getting recorded sales is done with, I have to bend over and take a shaft up the shooter and pretty much say, " Well it looks like im not playing (insert game title here) because it wasn't originally purchased by me and i can't activate it."
Everything on that list is the biggest joke I've heard. I keep expecting to wake up, or someone with a party hat and a unicycle to come out laughing and say, "Just kidding guys!"
But no that's not going to happen.....what did happen is a collective group of people trying to scalp and salvage whatever drop of money they can out of it's consumer got drunk one night and went to far.
I feel like the Microsoft is an adventure from an oldschool RPG. He came in my house opened all my chests, smashed all my pots and went through all my drawers taking whatever few gold coins he could laying about and walking out like there was no issue at all.
