Your arguments all make sense and so I do see your frustration as being justified. There's nothing I can really say to you other than, I guess you should just start gaming on your PC. However, I think that the majority of consumers purchase consoles for a different reason, myself included.
I buy a console because, first of all, it's generally cheaper. When I buy a game, I know for certain that it will work as intended. There are games exclusively available for a particular console ( and also specifically developed because of the existence of the console), and it's just much more streamlined as a living room device (because I know it very easy to connect your PC and play your games in your living room).
